Part of the fun of photography is experiencing beautiful places with like-minded people. I may be a New Englander, but I still love traveling outside New England several times a year. Like Rick Steves, I too believe that travel opens up the mind and builds bridges between diverse people.
In 2014, I had the pleasure of traveling to some fabulous locations such as the Lofoten Islands of Norway; the Isle of Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland; and, the Dolomite Mountains of northern Italy, including fun time in Venice with photographer friends.
Our national parks are astonishingly beautiful but they’re also heavily photographed. So, I make a point of going to Europe at least a few times a year for a bit of landscape diversity.
